Artful Journey to Epiphany

I was thinking of doing a series of Artful Prayer pieces for Advent, but kept hearing “Epiphany”. It celebrates the manifestation of Jesus’ diving nature to the Magi, considered the first Gentiles to experience God incarnate. It’s nearly December, the end of 2022, and the beginning of 2023. I don’t know about you, but I also look forward to many epiphanies, or sudden insights and intuitive understandings during this time and in 2023 and beyond.

There are exactly 40 days from November 28 until the Christian feast day called Epiphany (if I counted correctly!). My plan, as it stands today, is to create one piece for each of those 40 days, and follow a contemplative path to welcome all the blessings available to us in the days and years to come. Your journey can start at any time as it’s always a good time to be open to epiphanies!

I’m beginning with preparation. And will create 5 pieces for preparation, then 5 for each of the 6 aspects important for this season, and a final 5 pieces for transformation as we accept the changes offered to us during this journey.

Day 1: Preparation for the Body

I pray for the body of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their bodies would be rested and whole and ready for the good things that are to come. I pray that sickness would be healed and that strength and vitality would return so that each person could enjoy this time and be ready to receive blessings and favor. I pray that the corporate bodies of all kinds would be united in peace and the pursuit of goodness and truth. I pray for healing of division and strife. I pray that all would anticipate the beauty that lies ahead.

Day 2: Preparation for the Mind

I pray for the mind of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their minds would be clear and able to see and understand the truth and the good. I pray that mental anguish of all kinds would be soothed and that peace would descend. I pray that each person would be able to grasp and understand the significance of each sudden insight or understanding that they are about to receive. I pray that mental clutter would be stilled and that each person and group would see clearly the path ahead towards goodness and grace. I pray that all would anticipate the peace that lies ahead.

Day 3: Preparation for the Heart

I pray that their hearts would be healed and that grief and loss would be comforted and that they would see a way forward. I pray that each heart would be at peace and beat in alignment with the heartbeat of heaven. I pray that divine beat would resound with the frequencies of heaven and open the floodgates of ideas and inventions to bring peace and prosperity to themselves and the world. I pray that their hearts would be aligned with hope and joy of anticipation of blessings to come.

Day 4: Preparation for the Soul

I pray for the soul of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their souls would be healed and that emotions would come into alignment with peace and the truth of heaven. I pray that they would be ready for the beauty they were created to receive and that they would be able to accept the gifts so graciously given. I pray that each person would be in right alignment within and without and with all those around them. I pray that the very essence of each person would be blessed and able to receive all that is theirs during this time and in all the times to come.

Day 5: Preparation for the Spirit

I pray for the spirit of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their spirits would arise and soar on wings like eagles in anticipation of the joyful delights that heaven has for them. I pray that they would be blessed as they breathe in and blessed as they breathe out, and that they would be a blessing to all they encounter. I pray that their spirits would be filled with joyful delights to overflowing and splash out on all those around them. As they receive these epiphanies, may they create an atmosphere of possibility for all those they encounter.

Day 6: Hope for the Body

I pray for the body of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer, I pray that their physical beings would be filled with hope that there will be good things ahead. I pray that they would have hope for improvement in their body where ever it is needed in health, wellness, or any other area. I pray that their bodies would be blessed with the courage that hope brings and stamina to persevere when they need to. I pray that every fiber of their being would resonate with the hope of heaven.

Day 7: Hope for the Mind

I pray for the mind of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their minds and thoughts would be filled with hope and that they would see good things coming for them and those they love. I pray that thoughts would lighten and that the light of hope would shine into all areas of their lives brighter and more persistent than ever before. I pray that hope and truth would reign supreme in their thoughts and that the choices they make would bring about good things into every area of their lives.

Day 8: Hope for the Heart

I pray that their heart would beat with the hopeful beat of heaven, and that it would come into alignment with good, truthful, and hopeful things about them. I pray that hope would manifest in every fiber of their heart and in every heartbeat that it takes from here on. I pray that each heart would be blessed and be a blessing to those around them.

Day 9: Hope for the Soul

I pray for the soul of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their emotions would be fixed on hope and that hope would be a light in dark places for them and for those that they love. I pray that each would have hope for their true identity, giftings, and callings would be revealed and that they would thrive in all those areas. I pray that hope would align with truth and that blessings would come.

Day 10: Hope for the Spirit

I pray for the spirit of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their spirit would rise up in hope and conquer anything that raises up against that hope. I pray that their spirits would be buoyant and that nothing that doesn’t align with hope would be able to weigh their spirit down. I pray that hope would flourish despite negative circumstances of any and all kinds.

Day 11: Faith for the Body

I pray for the body of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their body would be filled with faith in the truth and in goodness. I pray that their body would be able to receive that truth and goodness, and be used as an agent of truth and good in the world. I pray that faith would shine out from them, and lay a beautiful foundation for a great year and life to come.

Day 12: Faith for the Mind

I pray for the mind of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their mind with focus on faithfulness and would be able to receive and give greater amounts of faithfulness to all whom they encounter. I pray that they would see a path forward towards their desired end and that they would also see the steps they can take along that path. I pray that they have strength and courage to take those steps so that they can receive the prize.

Day 13: Faith for the Heart

I pray for the heart of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their heart would beat in alignment with faithfulness and in faith for the heartbeats to come. I pray that they would warm the hearts of those they encounter at home and out in the world. I pray that the flame of faith in their heart would kindle the flame of faith in the hearts of others until the world is ablaze with faith.

Day 14: Faith for the Soul

I pray for the soul of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their soul would be refreshed in faith and that their emotions would come into alignment with that faith and with truth. I pray that whatever struggles they may have, they would be filled with faith for the future and for better things to come than any we leave behind. I pray that each person would anticipate in faith good things, and that they would see them manifest.

Day 15: Faith for the Spirit

I pray for the spirit of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their spirit would arise on wings of faith and that it would soar over every difficulty. I pray that their spirit would be full of courage and would encourage their entire being to walk forward step by step into the good things that their minds can see. I pray that they would apprehend blessings in faith and in physical reality and that they would be a blessing to all those around them.

Day 16: Joy for the Body

I pray for the body of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that joy would flow through every fiber of their being and that it would bring healing and wholeness where ever the person’s body needs it. I pray that joy would bring delight and increased strength and adaptability to change. I pray that joy within their body would be a good foundation for joy to be expressed in all other areas of their life.

Day 17: Joy for the Mind

I pray for the mind of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that joy would color every thought and that they would be able to see the possibilities in every difficulty. I pray that joy would open up their thoughts to receive diving downloads of solutions and new ideas to maximize their success and progress in all areas. I pray that joy would wash away any lingering doubt and confusion in their mind.

Day 18: Joy for the Heart

I pray for the heart of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their heart would beat and resonate with the joyful heartbeat of heaven and that as their heart aligns with that beat, that joy would overflow into all areas of their life and being. I pray that joy would give them strength and courage as they go throughout their days and that they would inspire joy, strength, and courage in all others that they encounter.

Day 19: Joy for the Soul

I pray that their soul would be filled with joy and that joy would help them cope well with any difficulty they may face. I pray that their emotions would be rooted in joy and truth and that they would be able to discern the truth about every situation. I pray that joy would spill out onto all that they encounter and that entire cities and regions would experience great hope and joy and transformation.

Day 20: Joy for the Spirit

I pray for the spirit of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their spirit would be filled with the joy of heaven and that the joy would raise up and bring inspiration and wisdom from heaven down. I pray that decisions made from joy would bring blessings and that they would prosper in all ways. I pray that many around them would be inspired by the joy that they see, and that they would be able to be filled with joy as well.

Day 21: Love for the Body

I pray for the mind of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their minds would focus on love and see the world through love colored glasses. I pray that love would be true and see the truth in all situations. I pray that the understanding of truth would give wisdom to know what to do and strategy to know how and when to do whatever it is that needs to be done. Or, if the wisest course of action is peaceful watching and waiting, then they would know that as well.

I pray for the heart of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their heart would be filled with love for themselves and for all those around them. I pray that the love in their hearts would warm them and help them to meet those around them on common ground and healthy footing. I pray that they would be able to love those they’ve called enemies and that they would discover new friends as a result. I pray that love would transform lives and communities.

Day 24: Love for the Soul

I pray for the soul of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that love would soothe all ruffled emotions and give them a greater capacity to handle stress well. I pray that love would bring them peace and would transcend all situations and relationships going forward. I pray that love would help wounded feelings to heal and that current and future relationships would not be colored by past pain, but that love and truth would be seen and demonstrated by all.

Day 25: Love for the Spirit

I pray for the spirit of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that each person would be able to connect to the greatest love that ever was or ever will be, and that they would learn the true meaning of love and what that means for them. I pray that perfect love would conquer all fears and that each person would be able to move forward in peace and hope. I pray that as they receive love, so too are they able to give love to all they encounter.

Day 26: Goodness for the Body

I pray for the body of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that each person’s body would experience goodness in all systems and healing and wholeness would come. I pray that each person would be free to be an agent for goodness to every person they encounter now and in the future. I pray that goodness would be a tangible force in and through each person experiencing this prayer. May goodness and mercy would bless this person today and every day.

Day 27: Goodness for the Mind

I pray that their mind would be blessed with good thoughts and clarity of thinking to be able to see the truth and the hope before them. I pray that they would be able to see solutions to problems and that they would receive good ideas and strategies for new inventions and opportunities for success and prosperity in all areas. I pray that they would be blessed as they are a blessing to others.

Day 28: Goodness for the Heart

I pray for the heart of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their heart would be blessed with goodness and that it would beat in rhythm with the goodness of heaven. I pray that they would receive the goodness out their for them, and that they would be a conduit of goodness to all those they encounter today and every day. I pray that good things would flow to and from them. I pray that each would be an agent of goodness in the world.

Day 29: Goodness for the Soul

I pray for the soul of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their soul and their emotions would be transformed by goodness and that all negative emotions and difficulties would be overcome. I pray that bitterness and unforgiveness would be replaced by goodness and that they would be able to make decisions about their relationships from a place of wholeness and love. I pray that all negativity would be transformed into positivity and joy.

Day 30: Goodness for the Spirit

I pray that their spirit would shine brightly with the light of goodness that it would be a beacon of all good things to their life and the lives of all who come into their vicinity. I pray that goodness would be contagious during this season and that they would attract all good things to them and to all whom they love. I pray that they would be a blessing of all goodness to all around them.

Day 31: Peace for the Body

I pray that they would heal and be strong and that their body would serve them well as they go throughout the rest of their lives. I pray that peace would descend and bring all things into proper alignment for health and wellbeing. I pray that bodily peace would be a foundation for peace in all other areas of their being and their life.

Day 32: Peace for the Mind

I pray for the mind of everyone who sees this piece and reads or hears this prayer. I pray that their minds would be at peace and that they would have the mind of heaven about their situations. I pray that wisdom and clarity would come and that they would know the best course of action and have confidence to make the best decisions they can. I pray that they would receive strategies and help from heaven especially as they go into this next season that they would be wise and profit from all they do.

I pray that they would be perfectly aligned with the heartbeat of heaven in all the situations they find themselves in and that they would be confident to act in the best way that they can in whatever situation they find themselves in. I pray that peace would follow them in all that they do from now on.

I pray that their body would accept the changes that they have received during this Journey to Epiphany and that they would see positive changes in their physical capacity and health. I pray that they would receive many epiphanies for strategies and ways to continue the healing and adventure for the rest of their life. I pray that they would become an agent of positive change for the health and well-being of those around them.

I pray that their mind would accept the changes that they have received during this Journey to Epiphany and that they would maintain and continue to have great clarity of thought and be able to see the opportunities that surround them for their benefit and the blessing of others. I pray that they would be an agent of peace and epiphanies to all those around them.

Day 38: Transformation for the Heart

I pray that their heart would accept the changes that they have received during this Journey to Epiphany and that their heart would continue to beat with the heartbeat of heaven in truth and peace from this day forward. I pray that they would receive many epiphanies for the blessing of relationships with all those around them and that they would bring about the peace of heaven where ever they go.

I pray that their soul would accept the changes that they have received during this Journey to Epiphany and that their soul would be healed and their emotions settled into peace and joy. I pray that they would be able to meet any circumstance they face with courage and strength and that they would be tied to the wisdom of heaven so that they are able to be blessed and be a blessing to all those around them.

I pray that their spirit would accept the changes that they have received during this Journey to Epiphany and that their spirit would be in tune with heaven and receive divine epiphanies as they need and want them. I pray that they would bring about peace where ever they go and that they would be known as a person of wisdom, love, hope, and joy.

Day 41: Epiphany Blessing

We’ve arrived at Epiphany, but I hope that this is only the beginning of all the epiphanies you will experience this year and in all the years to come! Thank you for going on this journey with me.

I pray that this day of Epiphany would be the beginning or continuation of many days of epiphanies that lead to new inventions, clever ideas, gifts of clarity of thought and expression, and healthful and fruitful relationships with all that surround them.
