12x24x2 Original Mixed Media Painting on Cradled Panel. Also available as prints through the drop-down menu.
Colorado Autumn is one of a series of pieces that I’ve done, and continue to do, with aspen trees. The series began with a trip to Estes Park in Colorado. I took a couple thousand photos, and am so fascinated with the beauty of community that aspen symbolize. They are sensitive to subtle changes in the atmosphere, and yet, their roots are so intertwined, that they have great stability as a group. And, of course, they are very beautiful!
Note: Prints are on matte archival paper and can be framed as you desire. Giclees are on Somerset Velvet archival paper mounted to a wooden panel with a profile of about 1″ thick. This gives a similar look to my original paintings which are painted on a similar surface. This type of giclee can either be hung as is, or framed. Minor cropping may occur depending on the size, but should not be noticeable.
