I painted this live during a couple worship sets at the Lubbock International House of Prayer (LIHOP).  The first session, I was painting the piece in portrait orientation.  When I came back the next time, I realized that it should be in landscape orientation.  I was painting along, enjoying the music, and almost feeling like I was along for the ride with this piece.  Sometimes while I work, I get so focused on the individual parts of the piece, that I lose track of the overall effect.  That happened in this case…as I completed Secret Place, I stepped back to get a different perspective and was startled when I saw that it showed a place that looks very similar to one I’ve only seen in the Spirit.  In sharing this piece, I am inviting you to come and explore a place where you can meet with the One who created you, and loves you like no other!

Note: Prints are on matte archival paper and can be framed as you desire.  Giclees are on Somerset Velvet archival paper mounted to a wooden panel with a profile of about 1″ thick.  This gives a similar look to my original paintings which are painted on a similar surface.  This type of giclee can either be hung as is, or framed.  Minor cropping may occur depending on the size, but should not be noticeable.
